Birds of Sri Lanka

We took a family vacation to Sri Lanka in December. Primary objective was not birding...but I (as usual) ended up doing a bit of birding with my 70-300mm.

Most of the time we were in Trincomalee on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka.

We spent a day in the central district of Si Lanka, a lovely resort called Chaya village in Habarana. Wish we had more time as the avian population there was quite diverse and confiding

Sri Lanka holds a lot of promise for birding and definitely worth going for an exclusive birding trip.
